My name is Christine, I began the first ten years of my professional career as a Clinical Microbiologist (MLS) in research and acute care pathology, laboratory medicine. Since, I have passionately served others as an Infection Control Practitioner for over 12 years with community hospitals, major healthcare systems (quality management, regulatory, and patient safety), my state department of public health (IDPH), APIC Consulting, and as an independent contract consultant.
I am board Certified in Infection Control (CIC) from the Certification Board of Infection Control & Epidemiology (CBIC), I have a Master of Public Health (community health science & epidemiology) from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry (premed) from the University of Olivet, Olivet MI.
At home, I enjoy staying active with weekly workouts and international travel. I am also blessed to be a doting mom of three which keeps me ‘young’, attending frequent extracurricular sports activities and tournaments. Yes, I am that mom cheering in the bleachers!
I have always had a passion for the sciences. I find my work rewarding and quite fulfilling. My journey has always been salubrious, so it is of no consequence that my path has led me here. Moreover, I enjoy being of service to others and finding solutions to a need (not a problem).
