Remote Surveillance & Reporting
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) protect patients and healthcare personnel from adverse events and promote safety and quality in healthcare delivery.
Per CMS regulations, Routine Healthcare-Associated Infection (HAI) surveillance and reporting by select healthcare facilities should be conducted by an infection control professional in an active, patient-based, prospective, priority-directed manner that yields risk-adjusted incidence rates. The CDC’s National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) is the nation’s web-based HAI surveillance reporting system for healthcare facilities to submit mandated active reporting of HAIs, Multi-Drug Resistant Organisms (MDROs), Antimicrobial Use & Resistance, and Healthcare Personnel Safety & Vaccination.
Prevention First provides remote support for required surveillance reporting activities, including federal, state, and local infection prevention and control reporting.
